Let your child enjoy a new and exciting adventure each day during the upcoming February school break. The Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center of Syracuse will offer a February Break vacation camp for school-age children in grades K-6 Feb. 15-19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center on 5655 Thompson Rd., DeWitt. Early/late care to extend each day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. is available and half-day programs are offered most days.

“We’ve got so many fun and entertaining activities lined up for the kids,” said Erin Hart, the JCC’s assistant director of Children and Teen Services. “Each day will be jam packed with a variety of age-appropriate arts and crafts, games, sports and more. We’ll also be taking a field trip to the Skaneateles Community Center to go swimming.”

The camp will feature various indoor and outdoor activities along with special theme days such as wild, wild west, bounce-a-palooza and theatre day. All campers should bring winter clothing for daily outdoor activities, weather permitting, including waterproof pants, coats, hats and gloves. Sneakers are required to play in the gym.

The camp’s half-day options, when available, will run from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Early registration pricing through Feb. 8 starts at $35 per child for the half-day program and $55 for a full day, with a discount offered for siblings. Registration is discounted for JCC members, however membership or JCC program enrollment is not necessary for a child to attend the camp.
