Mommy & Me Boogie class for preschoolers begins Jan. 6

Silhouette image of young children dancing. The Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center’s Jerome and Phyllis Charney Early Childhood Development Program will offer a weekly Mommy & Me Boogie class starting Jan. 6 for children 5 and under accompanied by their mom/dad/caregiver. The four-week class will run on Wednesdays from 9:15–10 a.m. at the JCC, 5655 Thompson Rd., DeWitt. The class will be taught by Tamar Frieden who regularly brings her Toddlers’ Tango program to the JCC’s preschool classrooms.

Mommy & Me Boogie is specifically designed with babies and mommies in mind. You will spend 45 minutes dancing and singing with your child, teaching them rhythm and rhymes and, of course, having fun together! If you have an older child in the program, drop them off and head straight to the class with your baby/toddler. Or, if you are just looking for something fun and engaging to do with your child, come to the JCC for a morning of active dance and songs once a week!

Registration is $50 ($45 for JCC members) and will continue until the class starts. Children do not need to be enrolled in the JCC’s Early Childhood Program and JCC membership is not required to take the class.
