The Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center of Syracuse will host an AARP Driver Safety course on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon both days at the JCC on 5655 Thompson Rd. in DeWitt. The class is $25 per person ($20 for AARP members) and open to all licensed drivers. Attendees must come both days and bring their drivers license and AARP card or ID number (if applicable).

The AARP Driver Safety course will refresh current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment. Attendees will be instructed on how to manage and accommodate for age-related issues and ways to manage difficult situations.

Upon completion of the course participants will receive in the mail a certificate making them eligible for a discount on their auto insurance and a reduction of the effect of up to 4 points of recently assigned for driving infractions.

To register for the class, call the JCC of Syracuse at 315-445-2360 or stop by the JCC front desk.
