Dear Friends,

What a difference a year makes. Last year we were unsure of what our future would be and what our "new normal" would look like. We are pleased to say that our "new normal" is a vibrant and, quite frankly, a thriving JCC. It may be one of masks, COVID screenings and cautions, but we are in fact thriving. If this past year has taught us anything it's that we must hold true to our core mission and continue meeting the needs of our community.

Seniors are once again enjoying delicious kosher lunches in-person five days a week. Our Fitness Center is open and offers many virtual and in-person classes.

Although we are saddened that some Fitness members have not renewed their memberships because of the pandemic, we are seeing a cautious shift to renewal. Some members have returned with the COVID vaccine rollout and the JCC's recent policy requiring all staff to be fully vaccinated. In addition, our board of directors voted in September to make our building accessible for vaccinated individuals only. This courageous decision was made to protect our membership, the children, seniors and staff.

We are optimistic and enthusiastic about the future. Our childcare enrollment is thriving. More and more individuals are coming back to the "J." We are excitedly planning our 2022 Annual Meeting and Gala on May 22 at Owera Vineyards. Things are finally starting to move forward.

As always, but especially now, your JCC needs your support. Whether through your membership, tax-deductible donation or frankly both, your generosity will allow us to continue being the "town square" of our community. The place where a child is raised in our Early Childhood Development Program, then attends our after school program and summer camp, holds their first job as a lifeguard or camp counselor, and then sends their own children to our programs.

Please help to perpetuate this lifecycle by supporting your JCC now and forever. Help us maintain our long tradition of serving the diverse needs of our community. You can be proud of how well we have adapted and be assured that your generous donation will positively impact many lives.

Sincerely,

Marci Erlebacher
