JCC Spring Break vacation camp April 6–8

Get set for your child to enjoy lots of fun and thrilling activities during the upcoming school break. The Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center will hold a Spring Break vacation camp for school-age children in grades K-6 on Monday, April 6 through Wednesday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center on 5655 Thompson Rd., DeWitt. Early/late care will be available.

The JCC, including the Spring Break vacation camp, will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8 in observance of the start of Passover. The Entire JCC will also be closed on Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10 in observance of the Passover holiday.

“We have a jam-packed three days planned for our Spring Break vacation camp this year,” said Amy Bisnett, JCC associate director of children’s programming. “The children look forward to the break from school and a chance to see their friends.”

Monday, April 6 is Animal Safari Day with a field trip planned to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. Tuesday, April 7 will be Under Water Day where campers will spend a “sea”sational day with themed crafts, gym games and more. The week will conclude on Wednesday, April 8 with Slime Squad Camp! There will be a special guest from Challenge Island to guide the children in different types of adventures and slime making challenges.

Children may attend the Spring Break vacation camp just one day or up to all three days. Campers are required to bring a non-meat lunch. An afternoon snack will be provided.

The camp’s half-day options, only available on Tuesday, April 7, are from 9 am to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Early/late care will be available each day starting at 7 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. Early registration pricing and a discount for siblings is available through March 31. Discount for JCC members. Membership or JCC program enrollment is not necessary for a child to attend the Spring Break vacation camp.
