Children's Department
Updated August 14, 2020
One simple philosophy guides the Children's Department: to provide safe programmed care for school-age children during out-of-school time. To reach this end, the Children's Department provides programmed care whenever schools are closed, including: state and national holidays, school conference closure days, half days and snow days.
The only time the Children's Department does not offer programmed care is on the occasion of Jewish and other predetermined holidays when the entire center is closed.
This year's After School Program will be very different because of the coronavirus pandemic. The progam is open to JCC members in the Jamesville-DeWitt School District and Syracuse Hebrew Day School. In addition, we're offering distance learning support to JCC members in the J-D School District through our new Club J All Day program.
