Fitness Center indoor workouts suspended because of COVID orange zone order

Dear JCC Members and Families,

As you have probably heard, by order of Onondaga County the JCC of Syracuse is located within the recently designated COVID-19 orange zone. This mainly affects school districts and certain businesses such as gyms. Thus, our Fitness Center will no longer offer in-person workouts and group exercise classes starting tomorrow, November 25, 2020. However, we will continue offering live online Zoom exercise classes and access to our indoor running/walking track and indoor basketball court by reservation.

We are hoping that our Fitness Center’s temporary partial shutdown will end soon, although we don’t know exactly when this will happen. It all depends on how soon our area can improve from its orange zone status.

Despite being in the orange zone now, the following JCC programs will remain open with little or no changes.

Because our Fitness Center’s in-person workouts will be temporarily suspended, please note our adjusted Main Entrance hours effective, November 30, 2020.
    Mon-Thur        8am – 8pm
    Fri                  8am – 5:30pm
    Sat                 Closed
    Sun                9am – 4pm

Also, the entire JCC of Syracuse will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. All of us here wish you and your family a happy and safe Thanksgiving celebration.

Thank you very much for being part of the JCC family and for doing your part to help keep our community safe and healthy during this pandemic. If you have any questions about our Fitness Center’s partial closing, or about any other areas of the JCC, please contact us at 315-445-2360 or
